Leo is a trained professional conductor. His work focuses on training amateurs to surpass their potential by teaching a variety of techniques and giving each player importance.

His dynamic approach has led to him being heavily involved with ELLSO, and more recently with Strings and Wind National Workshop.

Leo studied at the Guildhall School of Music (Department of Initial Studies) and at Trinity College of Music.

Continuing his studies after graduation, he attended the Dartington International Summer School's advanced conducting, and the Amadeus Orchestra's conducting courses.

He has studied with Orlando Jopting, Diego Masson and Greg Rose.

Currently conductor and music director of the ELLSO Performance Ensemble, Leo has led the main ELLSO saturday ensembles and coached full orchestra and chamber groups at ELLSO retreats, and conducted orchestras in Greece and Finland.

Leo's interests include the works of Beethoven, orchestral technique and the Mozart operas.
